Stone, brick and mortar cannot hear, see, speak or perform any human function and we build these things to memorialize the dead and times past.
We do not, however, pay any mind whatsoever to the human beings who risked their lives to save others and survived 9/11. Many of them are sick with disease and no one helps them. Instead we spend money, time and attention on stone, brick and mortar and those who no longer walk this earth. We put our money, time, attention and love in the wrong places. Help the ones who still live before you ask everyone to honor the dead and the single most horrible event in American history. Try God.
